God's Masterpiece is Mother

God took the fragrance of a flower,
The majesty of a tree,
The gentleness of morning dew,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The beauty of the twilight hour,
The soul of a starry night,
The laughter of a rippling brook,
The grace of a bird in flight.
Then God fashioned from these things
A creation like no other,
And when his masterpiece was through
He called it simply – Mother.

  1. That is beautiful! Certainly not the way I felt much of the time when the girls were little.
    *Sigh*
Must remember to see myself as He sees me...

  2. How hard it is some days to see ourselves in a positive light when all we can focus on is our failures. It's hard to feel strong when we are overwhelmed, hard to feel beautiful when we haven't even brushed our teeth...How freeing that those are not the things that matter!
